About the Committee

Agenda: World War 3
Committee Email: jcc@ratobangala.edu.np

The world is on the brink. After simmering tensions, a US Navy destroyer is sunk by an Iranian missile, igniting immediate retaliatory strikes. This triggers a global domino effect: Russia and China activate defense pacts, leading to coordinated attacks on Western oil, internet cables, and NATO bases. This isn't just a war; it's a fight for global dominance. Can you navigate this unprecedented crisis and secure your bloc's future?

The Atlantic-Pacific Coalition (APC): You are the West, united by the USA, EU, and NATO. Your mission: defend against direct attacks, mobilize resources, and secure vital strategic points. Can you maintain unity and outmaneuver your adversaries in a world spiraling into chaos?

Eurasian Sovereignty Bloc (ESB): Led by Russia, China, and Iran, you aim to reshape the global order. Your strategy: maintain military momentum, cripple Western supply lines, and expand your influence. Can you seize this moment to redefine the future of international power?

The Executive Board

Chair

Aakarsh Shrestha

His name standing for double-A battery, AA-karsh seemingly never loses his charge. Always bickering, bantering, and blabbing on and on, Aakarsh LOVES talking. Whether it be during debates or a group presentation, he radiates undeniable confidence every time he speaks. His incredibly high sense of morale and upbeat personality make him an admirable person and a joy to be around. Delegates, while Aakarsh might just top the ranks as “the most talkative person,” his determination is just as powerful, if not more so. Whether it’s haggling everything and anything down by over 50%, dribbling past defenders, or uplifting his friends, Aakarsh’s drive never wavers. And so, it’s fair to say he’s determined to bring you, the JCC committee. an MUN experience that’s electric, enthusiastic, and unforgettable.

Chair

Lavanyaa Nepal

Model UN participations both as delegate and chair, and now as the DSG, distinctions in the World Economics Cup, Parliamentary debates, gliding through A-level Chemistry, and balancing A-level Further Mathematics as an additional subject. She can do it all, not to mention her mesmerizing dance performances and pleasant (slightly awkward) singing. Oh, and kid you not, she doesn't just participate in a wide array of activities and competitions—she excels as well. With numerous delegate awards and chairing experiences, having gotten into the national WSDC camp in just grade 9, and currently acing all her academics, this DSG of yours can do it all. But there's much more to this small but mighty presence; there's much more happening beneath all these A-tier activities and awards. Beneath it all is a very sweet girl who can't help but laugh and smile in awkward situations (she can't bring herself to tell people off!). Beneath the scary, well-earned mask of a debater and MUNer, there's just a talkative, gossip-hungry everyday teenager. One who's constantly in search of new tea and more beans to be spilled. But this is what really balances out her personality. She may come off as super assertive in tournaments and conferences, but she's more often than not the most indecisive one in the room. Her scary arguments may mislead you into thinking she's unsociable, but all she's looking for in informal settings is a nice, long talk. She may also seem like a very strict and serious person, but again, she's just a very thoughtful soul. In Lavanyaa's delightful presence, you will learn how this obviously 6 ft tall high schooler balances extracurriculars, academics, friends, family, and life as a whole, without breaking a single sweat. And p.s., it's Lavanyaa, not Lavanya (Mess up her name, and then you’ll see the scary, assertive, and not-so nice version of your DSG).

Vice-Chair

Ruhaan Bhatta

If there’s one person who could treat overambition as a lifestyle, it would be Ruhaan. Whether it’s chasing deadlines, sending emails to the principal at midnight without a second thought, or throwing himself headfirst into whatever challenge dares to cross his path, Ruhaan isn’t one to back down easily. The slightest hint of a challenge? Ruhaan’s already two steps in, sleeves rolled up, ready to make it personal. But don’t confuse Ruhaan with someone who is all work and no personality. He is the kind of speaker who could turn the answer to a simple question such as “What I did over the weekend” into a full-blown epic. With his miraculous ability to stretch ANY story far beyond its natural lifespan, Ruhaan is a born MUN speaker, a perfect mix of charisma, eloquence, and theatrics. So buckle up, delegates! You’ve gotten a vice-chair who does not uit before he’s achieved what he set out to do. His unwavering dedication and passion towards anything is sure to guarantee you a committee where vehemence meets entertainment!

Vice-Chair

Pragyan Gautam

Two words to describe Pragyan? Mister Perfect. Most people struggle to balance studies, sports and extracurriculars. Pragyan thrives in both. 4.0 GPA? Check. Football team starter? Check. A full on golf geek? Check. A debating prodigy? Check. In fact, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say he’s the kind of person who makes excellence look effortless. Whether he’s tackling assignments or opponents on the field, Pragyan delivers with precision, grace, and unmatched consistency. Don’t be fooled by Pragyan’s innocent appearance—a diminutive stature and a glowing cherubic face conceal a commanding individual with a stentorian voice, capable of both swaying people into his favour, or annihilating them in the floor of debate, based on his mood and circumstance. His words cut sharp, his arguments sharper, and his presence—undeniably powerful. Gifted with a prodigious mind and a wide range of talents, Pragyan’s dedication and mastery over a myriad of skills make him the perfect candidate for a Vice Chair. So delegates, be prepared to have a fun-filled yet highly intensive committee with Pragyan involved in every second of it! From sharp rulings to spontaneous wit, he's the spark every committee needs.

Moderator

Banshika Gautam

Banshika is an enthusiastic and hardworking individual known for being fun to hang out with. When it comes to work, being calm about the load is a talent she has, and that is not a state just anybody can achieve. She doesn't mess around, whether it's a matter of research, studying, or just understanding complex topics. She picks things up quickly and gets things done with quiet focus. She's competitive in the best way: she’s never loud about it but always consistent and prepared. In group settings, she's often the one who just gets it; she’s sharp, thoughtful, and dependable. You can count on her to bring insight into any conversation without making a big show of her knowledge. Banshika may not always be the loudest person in the room, but she’s definitely one of the smartest, and, I must say, once you get to know her, you’ll see why people genuinely enjoy being around her.

Moderator

Abhyudaya Dhakal

If spontaneity wore hiking shoes and had a love for treks, it would be Abhyudaya. He doesn’t just live in the moment; he dives into it without any second thoughts and is always ready for something unexpected. He’s the kind of person who says ‘yes’ and then figures it out along the way, a true embodiment of the YOLO mindset. But what makes him stand out is his energy; it’s easygoing and uplifting and paired with the kind of laughter that makes everything feel lighter and way more fun. He’s the friend who turns last-minute plans into unforgettable memories. And when there’s food involved? There's no need to ask; he's already on his way. Even with all that spontaneity, he’s one of the most reliable people you will encounter.. He’s free-spirited, yes, but also incredibly grounded; you can trust him completely without any second-guessing. His curiosity runs deep, too. If something doesn’t quite add up in class, he’ll ask not to show off, but because he genuinely wants to understand. Conversations with him are effortless; you start talking, and, somehow, without even realizing it, you’ve become close friends. That’s why he’s such a natural fit as a moderator in the JCC committee. He brings the perfect mix of calm authority and genuine openness.
